JB Hunt and the Owner Operator

I spent a month there and that was enough.

 

We have been in the JB HUNT LP program for almost 3 years and are just a few weeks short of finishing th program. Our exerience, for the most part has been very possitive. You must remember that that are sacrifices that must be made in order to become a successful owner operator.
Having been an owner operator for several years prior to coming to JB HUNT, we had a bit of understanding of what it takes to be successful. We came here to specifically purchase a well maintained piece of equipment at an unmatchable low intrest rate, with a well respected company that actually does care about the success of the drivers.

As a lease purchase driver, JB HUNT does not trade YOUR truck in. I do not know where you heard this but it is absolutly NOT TRUE!
If you are still at JB and would like help and guidance to succeed at this program, we will galdly help you out.

Within every company, there are always a few individuals that may be difficult to deal with and JB is no different than any other. There are things you can do and people you can go to with your concerns that care. Believe me because things haven't always been so peachy, but with a good attitude, persistance and the will to succeed, we did it and plan on staying here at JB. did you loose everything you own because JB controlled your money? Did you get a disease causing you to become disabled? could you live on a pay check of $0.00 to 300.00 a week paying bills, etc...? Anotherthing is when JB wants you to run for nothing when they know it takes so much a mile for person run a truck.

apparently you got a good dispatcher that actually cared about whether or not you made it. because the bank has done took my vehicle and they are getting ready to foreclose on my home.

It is shameful to remember that a baby's first Christmas was nothing because no money for presents and that is what her first birthday will be like on new year's day. It is all thanks to JB HUNT!

i m trying to get into their lease program and my top questions are it better %paid or miles and how good is their lease program

 

There are at least four different programs for owner operators and lease purchase drivers here . How well they work out and what the success rate is I don't know I am a dcs driver and plan on staying that way I wont be going owner operator until my kids are out of school and I can pay cash for a decent truck I don't want to worry about a truck payment during slow freight times of the year like now if you signed a lease a couple of months ago you won't be makeing much money till spring when shipping picks back up until then it will be tight .
