I appreciate it a lot. I couldn't find this kind of info on the forum search. I would think there would be more discussion with agriculture being such a huge industry.

Trough is the floor auger or horizontal auger, vert is the vertical and boom auger. Lids yes are the lids on the trailer to get loaded. Most of the other stuff I'm sure they will train you on when you start the job.
Most important things.. do not forget to turn your PTO off. Very bad and expensive things happen if you leave your pto engaged and drive a long distance. A few feet to move the truck is fine.
Look out for power lines and always double check that your auger is in the cradle before leaving. You wouldn't believe the crazy things that have happened with people leaving there augers out and driving down the roadkemosabi49 and Mark_2wain Thank this. -
So, I'm officially hired. Will share what company in another thread, where I plan on doing a review. I have a very good feeling about them and so far so good.
One negative is they don't have cameras on the end of their augers, which is going to make things a little more interesting.
But all in all I'm looking forward to learning everything about the new job and ag industry.
Next hurdle is training, where I'll get to see just how bad these Virginia farms are to get to. I just keep telling myself that other trucks do it all the time.
Thanks everybody for all of the info and advice!dunchues, GreenPete359, lester and 1 other person Thank this.
