I am leaving Tuesday to the Swift terminal in Richmond. My cell phone is through Metro PCS. I have to do 3 weeks classroom work and 6 weeks on the road with a driver trainer. Since i will likely be in many different states is it wise for me to get a new phone provider,or should i should i stick with Metro?

I use metro and have no issues in Richmond VA. However, once you hit the road I recommend changing. Their network is good but limited.

I've verizoned my way from Richmond to LA and back plenty of times with very little issues, for what it's worth.

I've run the Dakotas down to Texas and east with Cricket, and have had no problems.

You might hold off changing providers until you get an idea of how well it works out here.

I have been with Straight Talk on AT&T Towers for years. $60.00 per month. 60gigs of data. I rarely use 20. I think Metro is T Mobile. Some people love T Mobile, many more despise it. Keep your existing plan and see how it works for you. It's easy enough to change theses days. Keep us updated on your progress in Richmond!

Solid advice. Probably best to wait and see.

I used straight talk AT&T for 5+ years and 2 years side by side with a Verizon company phone. In the north east it's pretty much even. 2017 going out to Williston ND Verizon edged out AT&T but that was about the only place it did. Here in North East pa i get better coverage with AT&T

Stick with whom you have. The only thing you might want to do is to check with your provider. They may have had you set up for a price in your general area.. If so they may be hitting you with a premium to be going nation wide.
