He only has to do 5 years then he is Elligible for a full retirement package and then he can go back truckin!

Being home every night I think was the big decider and knowing exactly how much money he is getting a month was another.

He will be with Central for the next six months (Probably) He is on his way to Twin Falls ID now (He is on Hometime) Someones Truck broke down in Boise and his FM called this morning wanting him to help out:biggrin_2552: There better be an excellent load outta here on Tuesday (Had to extend home time because he needs a new plate on the truck and they are fedexing it to the house Monday!

For some reason I'm getting the image in my head of some guy walking up and down the lines of trucks at a truck stop getting everyone to line up straight and uniform. Yelling at drivers because their tanks and wheels need shining and they need to shave and get a haircut.

Jess and JJ, congrats on the new job and more power to ya. Jess, I wouldn't worry bout moving around to much. Not that many basic training posts around. Plus with the cost savings of extending duty, bet you won't have to change military posts more than once. As for JJ at a truck stop, I can just see him getting saluted. The 1 finger type that is. lol Will Central work with him on getting him home once a month for drill? If I wasn't so old.....course then I'd have to cut my beard and hair.......nah!!!

When I was home this last weekend, my brother's church had mission night. Thats where food from the various countries they have missions in is brought to the church for a potluck dinner. Forget what country this spicy slaw came from but it kind of like kimchi with more stuff added to it and not quite as hot. Well Cat had given me some and had forgot all about it till today. Saw it when grabbing sandwich making material. HOLY ####!!!! Been fermenting in its own juices for a couple of days now and talk about hot! Cleared my sinuses right out.

Am in AR just north of the TX line. Will be in Ft. Worth by 0700 or so then get to go to the yard and sit for a day and half while they do a PM. Oh joy. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
