    That's easy.........

Buy an accident recording kit........with a disposable camera.......then.....

    After an accident.......and.......

    If you're able........and........

After you wake Lee Roy, Find disposable camera you got for just the purpose of recording the afforementioned possibility........

Use camera........take pictures of everything involved including documents...insurance, drivers license etc of others involved if possible.....use all the exposures....even if it seems silly, take a picture of it.

Pass out PITA witness cards to witnesses who didn't see anything......or didn't want to see anything...or did see the whole thing and got it wrong anyway...don't forget to get them back..

Somewhere along the line..this is usually first on the list...call the POLICE.......and other emergency vehicles like an ambulance or paramedics etc.......

Don't talk to the other parties involved if you can help it and never admit guilt or say you're sorry or anything that can be used later against you as an admission of guilt......let the Police be your mediators in this.

Get Police report.......VERY IMPORTANT.......get officers name and badge # too.

    Call insurance people......

    Call tow truck if needed........

Write down in your own words exactly what happened.....as soon after you regain your composure as possible.

Keep your cool during all this...be professional...cry about it later.

Just to expand on what Red said. When you take photo's also stand WAY back and take photo's of the whole area from as many angles as you can without getting run over. these photo's are invaluable to a lawer if the need may arise as they can often pick out little things i the overall scope of the scene to help your case if need be. if you just take pictures of damage they don't help much

That could be difficult for me.... :biggrin_2559:

Ok, I'm following the train of thought here. I can't remember what are the steps you go through and the order. I know it's like secure the scene, tend the injured, call the cops.... How does it go? My gawd I'm a terrible professional driver...lol

I'm with you Al. We'll just log the drive back. Or I'll just tell them I teleported.... how do they any different? Maybe I'm a fruit cake and really believe in telekinesis...
    ha... try and disprove it.

That's one of the reasons that waking Lee Roy is close to the top of the list:yes2557:

Women .....DO tend toward the emotional side of things from time to time.

It's in me i can't help it. That's not being cruel it's just being a bit on the mean side. A big difference between cruel and what was said above.

    "call 911"

    there, done

it's not that it's good, it's that it's in writing.

It's like ISO9000, as long as you do what it's writing, it's considered good, not that what you are doing is right. (which is why ISO9000 is worthless)

    it's a government, remember

TG NEVER take a picture of a dead body or an injured person if there is one.

great point. Any picture you take can be used by the other side as well and you don't want that being plastered all over
