Gonna send a qualcomm message tomorrow asking if they are planning on putting dash and or driver cams in these trucks. I’ll report back. I have to know the truth.

For what it’s worth, my friend who runs for UPS says they said the exact same thing. With the size and notoriety of UPS, driver facing cameras would have the opposite effect of helping.

Smart thing to do would be to add cameras that show down the side of the vehicle for the simple fact if somebody leaves their lane and sideswiped you you have it on camera that you never left your lane and they went into you... yes a forward facing camera would also show you never left your lane but like I stated the side view ones with confirmed that the vehicle went into the truck

Yeah that would be neat, side cam and dash cam. Miss me with that driver facing cam though.

Well...its really a money game as to why companies are going towards driver facing cameras. Whatever they can save on insurance wise, I can't say I necessarily blame them. The industry is headed in that direction and I can see all companies adopting that into their practices. The big powerhouses for companies guard their safety score with their lives. The thought of it used to bother me, but as time has progressed, I just saw which way the industry was headed. I liken it to the elog mandate. It was clear that we were headed for elogs I think back in 2011 or 2012. The big companies set the tone, and everyone else falls in line. It's what happens in a society in which big businesses have the upper hand. Big money = trendsetters.

That's true....also..these companies need some sort of defense mechanism when 4 wheelers #### up and have an accident, and it ain't the truckers fault. They sue, and get awarded huge sums of money. Look at the 90 million awarded to the lady down in Texas that hit the Werner truck.....
