I still think if every company was honest, it'd be the same problem. If it ain't what people want, they arent going to do it. If the lifestyle dont work out for them, they won't stay. There isn't a way to make it pretty. Trucking is what it is. Either you're cut out for it or you ain't. People romanticize trucking in their minds, then reality hits. We work for a very honest company, and they still have orientation classes it seems almost weekly.

I think society The whole has gotten so lazy that nobody really wants to work.... and I think one of the biggest problems anywhere in the labor market is finding a worker is no problem finding a dependable quality one is... those problems with some shady employers and it definitely magnifies the problem...

Knight-Swift also has barr nunn and abilene motor express. Those were two of knights acquisitions prior to the swift merger. Also look at all that celadon bought up before they went belly up. Someone is absorbing all of that into their business fold.

Well when i started i actually got to experience the what ya would call i guess the romantisized version of trucking. Or at least in my opinion anyway. Examples: the overall truck driver camaraderie of being courteous with each other, everyone looking out for one another, lending a helping hand when someone even 4 wheelers needed help. Running outlaw, everyone ratchet jawing an having a big ol time on the cb. Running triple digit trucks , 2 or 3 log books, running in convoys, taking short breaks an taking turns knocking on each others doors when time to load, then everyone strappin in an hauling ##* for the windy. Yea the GOOD OLE DAYS!!! must make me sound older but i had lotsa fun before E-logs.

I'm surprised you was able to get a message through on the Qualcomm as messed up as it's been all day. Robert tried to send me my dispatch via email this morning but my phone wouldn't read it. Anyway we're headed to Ravinia food with a load of taters 4 South Carolina. Then we're going to take a load from Ravinia to Dallas for Monday. It's not loaded yet and Mike said he would have to text me the info when it is.
