Where upstate? What's google maps show? Do you have a stout truck? Is it tarp. Dry box it's doable. It's 3k miles right? You get out west speed limit is 70. I have done 700 mile days out there. Tarp, different animal. Some tarp jobs are easy peasy. Some not so much.
Return freight probably biggest question.

5 days is loads of time. I'm not seeing much weather wise for this week anywhere.
-
It's doable. I've run northern Vermont to Portland many times and five days is plenty ordinarily. Getting shut down by weather is a random thing and I don't factor it in to my scheduling. It's only happened to me three times in five years of making this run, twice in Wyoming and once in Oregon. When I do take six days instead of five it's usually because I needed a 70 hr reset, not because of weather.
Cat sdp Thanks this. -
Thats too many mountains and hills for me

Mountains is what separate the boys from the men. I love mountain driving. Much better than boring flat terrain. I came up on the 25 in wyoming and headed 90 west to washington. Weather was great. Barely any snow cover and no winter driving last week. This week seems to be the same. Hammer down n git her there

1 heavy snow and your done.
-
Nonsense. The state will clear the main roads as soon as the snow stops. Everywhere except Indiana that is.
-
IN may be the winter choke point. Miles would not be that much different if you take 96 and 90 to get away from 80 in WY shutdowns.
Still got to go through IN ( and CHI) to get there though. -
Well I guess ... I probably should not have chimed in I don’t do snow and ice. At lease not any more. 1 inch of snow and I’m done for the season , let the truckers take over.
