I use plastic. Throw the straps straight across from front corner to rear corner and don't have issues with them sliding.Rickp, beastr123, singlescrewshaker and 1 other person Thank this.

I used steel strap corners with thin friction mat glued to the inside. The friction mat can be found often where a dry-van hauler swept out in the back lot of the truckstop. A small can of contact cement will glue it onto the steel.Attached Files:

Gravy load, strap and go. This was a “chains only” load according to the bills, that they gave me after I was loaded and ready to roll. It rode just fine for New Orleans to southern Kansas.
