you are being to analytical here. I do understand you are besically satified with your present situation but dont pretend that Eastern isnt a low grade, second rate company in comparison to others. You have respect and get respect. others dont . doesnt change the fact that they dont make MONEY!!! Why have a business and work your ### off to LOSE MONEY????

There are rumors flying about another 5% pay cut in Feb. Not sure how true it is but it would not surprise me at all .

Driver, stay miles away from this dangerous road hazard. You will be crammed iside a beat up 1996 or 1997 volvo 650. You will be the last to fart inside that clunker before it goes to the junk man. I promise you will not be able to even stand up inside the "integral sleeper". But don't worry, you'll be sitting idle in it for your time here.
Everyone here is always ready to quit, or thinking about it, even the office chumps. My current dispatcher came four days ago from another company, and he's lost like a cow in New York City. As I write this, is Wednesday and I've been squatting for 26 hours without a load or detention pay, and six miles away from it all (They don't want unauthorized miles). My first week on the job dispatch told me to "stop sending these annoying messages" when I was trying to get detention. The recruiter made it sound so good!
If you have a bad driver's record and don't mind $347 a week, the doors are wide open for you here. They hire three to five drivers every friday to keep up with the drop-outs (Company has about 120). I dare anyone to call me a liar, and I bet my rear end a thousand times that this circus will be out of business very soon. Be careful driver, the sharp turn will land you in a ditch.

 

Come on! If you're going to make a post read a few and figure out that a little information instead of whining is a lot better! WHO is this company and from where do the come out of.
What does 6 miles away from it all mean? Are you telling us that they are sitting you at a receivers when a truck stop is 6 miles away? 6miles? They can take the fuel out of that check! I guess from your statement you need to settle down and drive a tad bit safer if you're having to drive for a bottom feeder like this. I'd be spending them that 2 week notice as of yesterday! JMHO!

 

Seems like he's talking about the Eastern which has "on the ball" on all of their trucks.
