So a loved one has been trying to get a truck from WE with no luck. There has been a lot of back and forth and not getting paid is really getting to that person. After orientation they received training which was a whole other mess. They ended up getting to the terminal and no truck is available. I don’t want that person to leave because they have already be through orientation and trainings I just don’t know what to do.

The best thing you can do is be encouraging and supportive. Hopefully your loved one is not waiting at the terminal, and is in a motel. If he or she is discouraged because of the mounting costs, tell her/him to go home and wait. It may be cheaper in the long run. If you can help financially to make that happen, that would really lift their spirits:thumbup:

They're giving your loved one the run around. Then again, it is Western Express. Depending on how long they have been waiting, it may time to look for another employer. Stay away from 1099 jobs until it is a last resort. Chinatown will find them something.

    Keep the faith!

I would think WE has trucks opening up just about every hour.

If that driver is going into the van division, there's always a chance that there will be a delay. Flatbed drivers always got put to work pretty quickly. Most applicants preferred to bump docks instead of flatbed. I remember them trying to convince more people to go flatbed but to no avail.

Yeah we're getting close to xmas and things get screwy. Most drivers want to be home on xmas. I never cared so I ran thru the holiday and was busy. Has WE asked yoor friend about working during xmas ? Is he in a motel? or at home ? Is he getting $$$ or just a room and a subway daily ?

It’s just frustrating for both of us because I know how badly they want to work and it seems like there is a problem every week.

That’s what I was thinking but I guess not. Most everyone there seems to hate life because they are beyond rude and are no help.

This week will be 2 weeks and to top everything of my loved one was stranded in another state. We had to pay out of pocket to get them home. It has been a very rough time
