Glad to see someone else here going!
Hopefully someone here can explain the accommodations and such and what to expect.
I'm getting a bus ticket for the ride down there. You?
Anyone know the Conle GA yard and facilities? I'm wondering what that food voucher is and where it's for. What are the rooms like? Next to the yard? In the yard? Several blocks away? lol
Hopefully see you down there!
Central has a good rep and I know a couple drivers for them, even have a cousin who's an OTR trainer and I hope to be able to request my cousin for my OTR training.
Looking forward to finally getting on the road and making a living that doesn't include being at the same place at the same time day after day after day after day after......

Howdy smokr.....Im a local so no bus ride for me. I can tell you that conley is a sh*thole in the middle of a crack infested slum. Its where hookers go to die! I didnt hear anything about a meal voucher but then again my recruiter wasnt really all too enthusiastic or outgoing with particulars. I could care less how nice the facilities are as long as they have decently working equipment and helpful trainers. I too am ready to get out in a truck and away from the same old same old job everyday. (crappy garages in my case, and clueless service writers) Hope all goes well for you, by your name im guessing I could bum a smoke from ya if I run low! HA! Anyone know a good laidback trainer I could request?

B.T.W. I think we are the test rats on this new school.
Is it cool to bring a sidearm (with a concealed permit of course) or is this frowned upon?
Thanks___Bryan -
___realgonekatt Thanks this.

Cool. And yeah, I'll probably have a few extra cigs. I'm able to quit from time to time, but stress just makes me go back to them.
I'm not too worried about the location so much, hell I grew up in and around Chicago, and not where the sidewalks and streets were smooth either! Since it's a new facility it shouldn't be like the pits some other schools stick students into. The place that Driver Solutions has them say was on COPS this year! Not to mention even a fast google comes up with some really disgusting reviews, not to mention Driver Solution students griping about being robbed while gone or even robbed at knife point. No thanks.
At least the school we'll be at has razor wire over a chain link and is busy 24/7 with mechanic yard and all.
I think I brought up the meals, and he said it was possible to get a meal voucher if I qualified, so I asked him to find out by Tuesday when I call him back after sending in that paperwork. I don't eat much anyway, and if they have a kitchenette I'll just cook. -

Thanks 1badz, I will try and make it down tommorrow noonish. I am anxious to get a feel for the joint. I will be un-armed haha, I was just curious. I've not ventured that far down moreland but it seems that the further south you go the sketchier it gets. So no asphalt huh? Guess that makes for a high skid pad then? Im guessing that it is right in the middle of industrial zone so I suppose there are lots of other paved practice areas? Whats your real name anyhow? Cant very well ask around for 1badz28.
Thanks___Bryan. -
