Hello everyone!! does anyone know if the volvos have the cummins or volvo motor?

 

Whats the longest everyone has been on the road without coming home?!?!

 

Yeah give 1bad a call maybe you can save me a trip down there. I hate like all heck going down there. Just the couple of blocks b/t the terminal and 285 ain't a place for a white chick to be alone. I just pray everytime that I don't get stopped at a red light. I white knuckle it all the way out of that #### hole!

 

Don't want to discourage you but unless your standard of living now is very low you will not be able to keep up in this industry the way things are right now. Why would you live your wife at home with two infants and having to worry about whether or not she is gonna be able to buy diapers and milk when you get paid next time. Let me tell you our story incase you haven't read the whole thread. We lost our home and my car in less than 6 months of 1bad being on the road. Had it not been for my parents many of weeks me and my kids would have been very hungry. I hope you own your house out right and have very low utility bills. Because unless you get a very good DM there will be some weeks when you will clear just what it will cost you to live on the road the next week. So when your wife is complaining that this and that needs to be paid I hope you have a secret account she doesn't know about because if not you will regret this industry right now. The only reason I am saying this is because you sound just like 1bad did a year ago. " I'm gonna go trucking I can keep up a float till the auto industry rebounds." And being a loving wife I supported him in that but we now live with my parents because we can't find any place to live that we can afford on less than $500 a week (most weeks some weeks not that much). So please just keep this in mind and do what you feel is best for you and your family. I just wish I had known what I do know going into this. Everyone says all the good things but someone has to mention the bad. And I felt like I needed to say something since you have a baby on the way and I know how that it. Hope you don't mind and I'm not trying to offend anyone. I just don't want to see another wife/mother say we are losing everything we have, how do we get more miles so I can keep what little we have left?
