I escaped the Pennitentiary at around 6pm once onto 495 around Dc the snow was gone and traffic through Va and NC was light. I actually hit SC in less than 8 hours driving from Carlisle PA.
That first couple of hours through Pennsylvania was pretty much like sledding though, they weren't exactly keeping 15 cleared fast enough considering how much snow was coming down so it was mostly 30-45 mph until at least Frederick MD.Last edited: Dec 17, 2020
