We should all be required to pull doubles with a tanker to compress all of our exhaust into. We could empty it at the end of every day while refueling. Let Loves deal with the emissions...

My “ideal” emissions setup is the non-existent kind.

1996 was a great year for Diesel engines.

Except the pile of dead birds below the wind turbines, dead salmon and steelhead below the hydro electric plants, dead birds that landed in the lithium drying beds, millions of tons of earth dug up to mine said lithium by exploited laborers, thousands of gallons of waste oil burned by massive polluting engines in sea going vessels to deliver said components and the list goes on.
Electric vehicles are far from zero pollution.

Except the toxic waste of spent batteries and the emissions from electricity production.

You forgot what the turbines are all built of to begin with are heavily dependant, in the case of the blades made of, petroleum products.

Egr would be my target. Eliminate the egr, program the engine to run properly and clean. Let the SCR do it's thing to clean up the emissions. This would solve the bulk of emissions related failures we have.
This is basically what Cummins has done with some of their smaller engine. They also reduced the amount EGR being used in the X-15.
