nice looking truck! love the color. congrats and wish you the best!
dan-- went 2 rounds, ran best ET on the 10.5 tires 7.0 at 199 mph. got best 60 ft. 1.11 on only 15 lb launch then pushed a head gasket. so i was done for the day. but still a good weekend and getting these little tires to hook now. carried the front tires about 200 feet every time.ampm wayne and Donk Thank this. -
the HVAC guys have a liquid cleaner they spray on coils and condensors and then hose it out. it's kinda nasty stuff. some sort of acid. not sure if it's something you'd want to do inside the truck.
you could also get a fin comb and comb it out. mostly it's lint and stuff that collects on the surface and doesn't get too far down.englewoodcowboy Thanks this. -
I had thought about that stuff too but as you pointed out, pretty nasty stuff, not sure I want it in the cab.... My coil is not easy to get to. I think I am going to fabricate some sort of filter for it first. Would hate to go throught the aggrivation of cleaning it and then let it just fill up with lint and stuff again. It draws air right at the squirrel cage, not an easy way to filter it. Some guys said the use household filters at the louvers under the bunk but I open the bunk and outer doors regularly so it would be bypassing them.... I will figure something out. Hell I have time to do it so I might as well....

You couldn't be more right. I could never regret the experience. I learned so much about who I am and what I'm capable of on all those scary dark nights out there. -
I use Purple Power, Purple Cleaner, or whatever it is called in your region, to clean truck HVAC units. You can get quart spray bottles, but I prefer to use a garden pump sprayer. I soak it down, then hose it off. If there is no opening for the water to run out, I park where the water will puddle that is easy to get to, and suck the water out with a shop vac. The coils and fan will look brand new.

Probably one of the reasons I respect TG as much as I do. ANYBODY that has spent much time in the oilfield knows the demands and conditions you work in. I know many many ###### men that couldn't hack it. Still kinda like a family though. Many lifelong friends made there. Knew a few females that worked in the field, couple of drivers a pumper or two and even a roustabout. Seems they always had a lot to prove before they were accepted. One thing for sure if they were around for long it was because they earned it.

Tankergirl80 Thanks this. -
Tanker Girl and Got Reefer are some of the nicest folks that I've been lucky enough to meet in this industry. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that they'll make it just fine. She's pretty sharp with all the paperwork and that aspect, and he's got a great mechanical mind. A great combination for teaming.
Tankergirl80 and Got reefer? Thank this. -
Aww... you're so nice to say that.

But don't tell anybody over in the purple hippo thread they think I'm the spawn of Satan. I've got a reputation to uphold

Hell, I thought you were his mother...
Got reefer? Thanks this.
