    Many do however.

And the truck is usually at an odd angle, tilted one way or another.
Personally, it is hard for me to get around, cook, sleep and whatnot when the truck is tilted on a hill.
I really hate the truck stops that have no level parking areas.

    88 Alpha Thanks this.

When I was green I pulled a reefer load through the Banning scales with tandems all the way back. Somehow they missed it and continue on I did, lol!

Why would you want to run with tandems all the way back? Or...........park on a ramp?

Local guys take naps on ramps sometimes, and still have to mind the KPRA laws.

I have only i think 2 times in 3 years had to park on a ramp and i do not stop on an off ramp. The 2 I've parked on were had no place to stop. Yes i trip planned yes i got to a truck stop and it was packed past full and very very many made a spot for themselves if i ever park it's on an on ramp at least 1-2 truck lengths down and right side of the white line . not a choice stop but there is literally nothing around for hours and other times and accident holds you up truck stops get completely packed. And it is very late in the pm early am

If anyone runs a 53footer with tandems slid all the way back is just asking for trouble.

The Lowe's near Cheyenne, WY LOVES to load trailers very tail heavy.
And they will not rework it if you have a route that allows tandems to be all the way back.
