If I could just FIND the beeper/speaker I'd wrap it with duct tape to muffle it.
Then it would be more tolerable.

I can live with the beeping. I hate that it cuts out my radio and takes a few before it comes back on and I miss the news I was listening to

Pressing the pedal while the cruise is on overrides the slowdown while keeping the extra speed.

I don't know why is this a problem and I don't see anyone suggesting that you simply unplug the radar in front of the truck!!!
I know it works on volvos because I do it every time I get a 2019+ volvo in a company, and as a consequence you only have to live with a CHECK bright red light on your dash.

I did that on a 2020 Volvo and after a day of peaceful bliss the engine derated to 50% power until I plugged it back it. Maybe truck was set up differently. I just learned to live with it. Kinda. Lol.

Yes, in trucks I have driven it works that way, but some companies have told me different. I never have driven a truck that the cruise was faster than the pedal, so can't speak about it.

Yes some companies do set the cruise faster, most of the time 3mph.

62-63 in the pedal and 65-66 on cruise

That's gotta be fun on ice.

Can't even accelerate out of a jack knife.

The alarm is not for the cruise control, it is for the truck driver. So many people commenting that don't have the facts or have ever driven one. If you get too close the brakes will be applied with our without the cruise. I also understanding distancing. I prefer not to park in the left lane with making a pass. I can "run up" on someone, and this doesn't mean 50 feet, pull out and pass and get back in, but I have to keep my foot on the pedal, because as I said this starts at 400 feet.
