I'm pretty sure I listed what's to like and not to like. Your post reads like a recruiting ad...seriously. That's the same stuff that I heard before I worked there. If you love it, then more power to you. Most of it is true. Except for the over $100k/year. Sorry, but you're talking to a bunch of current and ex WM drivers here. We know how much you make. And unless you are turning that 5/2-5/3 into a 6/1 every week or you've been driving for WM for over 20 years, you aren't making that much money.

Does WM have a 6-1 schedule, what`s the best paying schedule?truckdriver31 Thanks this.
-
WM does not have an official 6-1 schedule.
They have a full time schedule, 5-2.
Same 5 days on, same 2 days off.
What alot of these drivers do, is save their hours through the week, by going off duty when they can,and then extend, and work their hours out, on the 6th day.
I know a driver who does this every week, and has has for years.
He consistently makes over 130Ktruckdriver31, Exit310, MilkyJay and 1 other person Thank this. -
On a 5-2 when I first started...worked 4.5 days a week since I lived a few hours away I usually worked a 7 or 8 hour day on my go home day. My ADP was $375 after 8 months. It’s possible to make 6 figures here and you don’t have to break your back doing it. Some guys don’t think it’s possible, maybe it’s not for them....but for others it is.
truckdriver31 and braceface Thank this. -
I made 99K this past year on a 6-3.
Did not sell back any PTO days.
Lots of WM drivers make well over a 100K.truckdriver31 and T.Rucker Thank this. -
I was on a 6/3 out of 6080, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get it above the high $70ks. I’m not rooting my own horn, but I was also a runner...I didn’t stop at truckstops and ######## at the DCs all the time, I worked. Maybe it’s just luck in the dispatches you’d get, or also the region you run?? When the ROC dispatched you on a 1st truck pull ahead 1/2 the time at 1430-1500 in the afternoon into NY Metro area NJ, you certainly aren’t going to be cranking out the miles, and I’d get stupid dispatches like that, A LOT
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
I'd quite often get them stores if I got to twobananas but to be fair my own DC Raymond NH used to give Twobananas drivers the crappy stores around Boston.
truckdriver31 and mxpx148 Thank this. -
Yeah, I know lol. I would get screwed on bothtruckdriver31 Thanks this.

A friend of mine had enough and did the same thing as you..sure enough they terminated him on the spot. So, drivers retiring or quitting...be aware and plan accordingly.

It really depends on what terminal you work out of...some have more miles to stores. If your DC services some city like New York or Chicago, then you will not get as many miles. Also some programs don't do well in the areas they serve.mxpx148 Thanks this.
