That's funny. They've sent me all the way with that load a couple of times. I would think they'd send the team all the way, but they probably have yall grab it so far from the delivery date

Yes just like they do the moberly loads. The load we picked up on the 20th didn't deliver in mauldin/Greenville till the 24th. And heaven forbid they could do some customer service work an try an work with those customers on trying to change delivery appts.

bryan21384 and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Well we got stuck with taters. Who in their right mind would think ya could have an appt at safeway at 10 AM an even dream ya would get outta there early enough to make monte vista by 17:00 the same day. Then dispatch had the nerve to ask around 12:30 denver time are they getting ya empty yet. Like they're supposed to think i believe they would be naive enough to dream that safeway is gonna be in any hurry. I asked for layover pay but never got a response. Cuz of poor planning we're stuck till Saturday.

What in the world? 10 am appt at Safeway, then you're supposed to drive like 250 miles to Monte Vista? Safeway needs to be planned for at least 4 hours. What time did y'all get empty?

14:30 denver time. Even the shortest route to monte vista is 220 miles. Thats goin down 285. Goin down 25 an across 160 is 260. Anyway yea since we had that 10 AM at Safeway i thought for sure they'd send us up to the dairy or fort collins for beer or anything that was a more sure thing of loading on Friday. Getting taters on now. Dropping at craftsmen for some lucky individual to deliver aldi's at 2 AM Monday. Then gonna do a palmyra turnaround. We got 3900 miles this past week. That's with leaving on Monday. I do hope they pay us layover for last night tho cuz it's not our fault we couldn't make monte vista by 17:00 last night.

Wow.......3900 team miles....just wow. I didn't fair much better this week. I struggled to get to 2000. Its January though. Historically, it's always my worst month of the year.

Wow that’s crazy. I’ve only been to that safeway once and that was with my starter company. They took a good long while getting me unloaded.

Climate sent me there with Hershey's once. It was about 4 hours roughly. I went to Platteville after that. To take a 4 hour deadhead with a delivery that far into the day is crazy

I've been running to Safeway sense like 2009. I should rephrase that I did that for a couple years like 2009 to 2011 when I work for Sharky. And then started running their again when I work come to work here four years ago. So I'm very familiar with how Safeway works. So I always know it's going to take a long time
