S&S Transport

I did my ND-AL-FL-AL run, and almost did it in 4 days. But I had 10 minutes left on my 11 and did not want to chance the Bremen, GA scales.

I got up Friday AM, and unloaded, and was going to take the weekend off, and as usual, the phone rings. " I have a load for you, and sometimes its hard for me to say no, so I grabbed it and went home and got a reset in. Thankfully, I was able to go in and renew my CDL and Hazmat endorsement in less than an hour and take care of everything in about 3 hrs.

I just delivered in Clarion, PA reload here and going to McKenzie, ND to a Menards DC. Then once empty will probably drop off truck and supposedly the body shop for hood damage.

An update what is happening at the yard. There s going to be alot of expansion going on in phases. From a very reliable source, the office and shop is expanding, and there are driver amenities coming as well, don t know exactly where they re putting it, but I will wait and see like everyone else

 

It would be nice, but I guarantee some idiot would ruin it for everyone like a few have done at the Anniston terminal a few times

 

I was in Anniston Tuesday night and early Friday morning, I messaged you to see if you were working, I would ve stopped and said hello if you were working

 

Starting with S&S Monday. This is a career change for me after thirty years in the energy sector and I'm appreciative for the opportunity. I wish everyone that contributed to this thread success wherever they are now. I hope to meet you all someday as i enjoyed and appreciate your contributions.

After I delivered to McKenzie, ND I dead headed back to the yard, Got a PM, and went to Perham MN for a drop and hook to Mechanicsville, VA. for tomorrow morning. I m sitting here at the TA in Ashland watching the snow fall. Hopefully, I ll get a load from Whitakers back to Grand Forks which will put me around 3500 miles by Thursday or Friday.

Just to give an update on the company, they ve ordered 50 new trucks, 60 new trailers, and supposedly building 2 terminals, one in MN and the other in WI. Its about time for a new one in WI. The space in Janesville was outgrown very quick, I know the next door neighbors in Janesville can t wait since trailers overflowing in the lot and out on the streets.

Hopefully, the new terminals will include showers, lounge, and maybe a laundry room. Even though there s a TA 5 minutes away. I will update as soon as I find out any relevant info
