Hello, I’m curious about DHT’s orientation and training process. Where do they conduct orientation? Is there paid transport & lodging? Approx. how long is training? Thank you!

Do you have your CDL yet? Where do you live? I started as an experienced driver almost a year ago. I live in Tucson, AZ. Went through orientation in El Paso, TX. Orientation was 3 days. They paid for my rental car and Lodging. Was issued a Tractor on Day 3 of orientation and was on the road the next day. DHT is a great company. I have no intention of going elsewhere. I plan on driving for 6 more years.Rocks, Dave_in_AZ and bzinger Thank this.

Not yet. I'll hopefully have it by mid-late February. How long were you in training for after orientation?
-
I did not do my training at DHT. Went to work for them as an experienced driver. Call a recruiter. They will give you all of the information you need

What are the primary lanes that DHT runs? Where are the terminals?

Thank you. I guess I need to improve my search skills. I didn't find that last night while looking.
Those lanes pretty much match exactly my preferred areas. I may look deeper into DHT for a possible future move.
Does DHT use driver facing cameras? -
No driver facing cameras. Forward facing only. Great Lanes great miles. Most border freight is pre loaded trailers at the terminals. Lots of drops of loaded trailers at border terminals as well. Where are you located? I know they have certain driving schools that they recruit from.
TravR1 Thanks this.
