Close quarters trucking

Not a regular stop for most people, but I used to do hospital supplies.

Swedish Hospital on First Hill, Seattle WA. Two-dock receiving area between two walls, it always sucked if another truck showed or was already there.

 

Think I’ve been to that one. Used to live there and bumped docks for Old Dominion. Some of those hospitals suck to get into. Some of those buildings on the UW campus were not real fun either.

Being we are all drivers, does anyone else look at docks even if they aren’t delivering there or even working for that matter? I do. I’ll make a comment to the girlfriend about one and she just gives me that IDGAF look. And really I shouldn’t either. Man I really need a hobby.

 

When I worked LTL years ago, I used to pass by one factory daily, where you had to block a busy street, to get into it. It was called RACO, they make steel electrical boxes. Said more than once, "glad I don't go there".
One day, had to wait a bit while a guy backed in, got back to the terminal, and dispatcher hands me some bills. "Go deliver this to RACO" he says.....

 

No idea if if still exists but Lynn Creamery in Lynn Mass.

 

The end of Navy Pier , Chicago unloaded gear into the ballroom on the very end of the pier.
Had to back all the way down the pier in the dark after the show.
SUCKED!

Old Supreme bumps rear docks on Lucas st. Toledo Ohio. Its long gone now. Getto body shop with junk all over and driveway to the north is city property and locked. Normally one storage trailer in dock. Picture dont show half the junk. I went in there years later for warehousing. Body shop had to move 4 non running cars so I could back in with a road tractor and 53' trailer.





Just think of the orange as a junk yard and a gate.
