They just make #### up out of thin air . These are the same people that reported during the pandemic that the pollution in la was the lowest its ever been , due to people not driving cars . But there was probably more trucks in that state at the time trying to keep supply chains open during panic buying.... If trucks are such a big problem in their state why dont they just ban them all together ? Let them fend for themselves650cat425, PoleCrusher, T.Rucker and 5 others Thank this.

The rate that new technology is coming on in 25 years, the diesel may be going out or even gone, but there will be something to take it's place. Could be all electric or hydrogen/electric. Count on it. A lot of trucking may be automated but there will still be opportunities for drivers that do open deck and probably tankers too. An enterprising guy that finds a niche and fills it will still do well. IMO, anyway.
Also going to be a lot of equipment hauled building all of the power plants they need to charge up all these carbon free cars. .Ol'Shusquatch, snowwy, Mattflat362 and 5 others Thank this. -
I think you are on the right track here.
I remember them looking at relocating part of the Long Beach port operations to AZ a few years back. Basically eliminate most truck traffic to the ports in SoCal that is not destined/shipping from Cali. All containers not going to Cali go on a train to AZ. They then clear customs and all the other stuff in AZ.
Takes the Long Beach truck traffic down a bunch, And frees up acreage so they can do their jobs right. And they can pay the employees less because they pay AZ wages not Cali Wages.blairandgretchen and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
What does everyone think is gonna become of all the batteries these vehicles run on once there garbage, they won't last forever. And how much electricity its gonna take to charge all these vehicles will be insane. These idiots don't think do they.

They don't realize what all their green power bs is made of. Your average person apparently has no clue how many things they use every day are made of oil.650cat425, PoleCrusher, nredfor88 and 2 others Thank this.
