Glad to hear you are off running, me just running ID, WA, and OR not all that long of trips, sounds like I wont get home for a "drive by" for a long time or at all, if I make it that long! the driving is easy, being away from the wife and kids is harder on all of us then we anticipated, the kids are really having a hard time so we may have to rethink our plans. I talked to Hillbilly today and hes doing great so far but that's it, you hear from anyone? Take care and be safe, I still have to e-mail you those pics from our mtn drive, I'll get on that soon as possible. Take it easy "Commander"

Your in fontana right?
Yall better get there early. I know when I took my drive test for my CDL it was late afternoon by the time I got there at the fontana DMV. Took me a hour just to get a number then almost another hour just to see someone.
Oh and FYI wait in the line to the right, the left side is for registration only.
Anyways sitting here at the TA in barkleyville, PA pullin a 10, I think I can make it to Edwardsville, I'll by tomorrow night (hopefully). Qualcomm has been down for me since last monday (yay paperlogs )
need to get to a terminal ASAP to get it fixed but central seems to be giving me the east coast two step back and forth back and forth its like a bad roller coaster but never ends.
Ok yall time for some bed. Early bird catches the worm!
Ha good thing I'm not a bird! -
Thank you for your input!
I have narrowed it down between Central and Prime.
With Prime you go there for a week, study and get your permit and then you are out running with a trainer for 4 weeks before you come back and take the cdl test. You then go with a trainer for another 4 months before you go solo. With Central you are there for two weeks, practice and get your cdl, then go with a trainer for 4 weeks before you go solo.
I would rather not be living with a trainer for 4 months, nothing personal lol.
I am just trying to figure which would be the best in the long haul.
Thanks again for your input!

I've been a lurker here for a while now and just thought I'd drop in an say hello. After reading the entire (almost) thread, I put in an app with Central, just got off the phone with the recruiter who is doing the preliminary background research. I will know more tomorrow on what the next steps will be. I'm not expecting much as my app pretty much laid it all out there - one speeding ticket on the Interstate 7 years ago in Kansas. I'm still crossing my fingers. I need a job. I'm tired of the write, re-write, & submit laundry cycle of doing resumes.
I just kinda wanted to say thank to everyone for at least being honest about the company which played a larger part in why I submitted my app to Central. -
Looks like I'm flying to Conley to pick up a W9.

Well I'm not a Central driver tho I've been on here and harassing them for awhile now.
I live in OKC myself. If your having to go to a school again like I did, may I suggest the votech in Drumright. It will be a whole lote cheaper than Central and you won't be locked into any company for their training. Don't get me wrong, NOT dissing Central. Just think there's a better way to go if you can. When I went thru Drumright, it was less than 2 grand and that was with getting a place to stay while there. Figured out the gas and toll prices and figured staying there saved me $500 at least. Your right there. Just my 2 cents worth.
