My best months at landstar has historically been Jan Feb and March. Apparently no one else is dumb enough to willingly go to western Canada in those months. Lol

A yard no, randomly abandoned Trailers probably somewhere. They might have some hidden in places like Costco.
It's up to yourself to find parking.

That’s fine, will have to decide on my trailer of theirs, I like these drop and hook loads in Laredo I keep hearing around.

    #### is just going ####ing wrong here lately, just about had enough, so it’s Landstar or I just sell my truck, radios and gps; be done with this ########.

Hmmm. Sounds like a bad day at the office today. I empathize.

Seriously though, when I think of Landstar, Oceanstar, Spacestar or even Allstar, I wonder if within less than six months a guy would say to himself, Wow what a difference!
The grass on the other side is greener syndrome, could play out. I am old enough and jaded enough to wonder, how are any of them that much improved over the next? You know what I mean, I am sure.
Hang in there, better days lie ahead, at least that's what I tell myself.;)

    I hear that,

What makes Landstar cool IMHO is there is no one else in "operations" who have never driven, to screwup your life. Yea their are agents and shippers and safety and all that, which I can handle. What I can't handle is dispatch, planners, maintenance/breakdown people, who don't have a ####ing clue, don't give a ####, and can't be ####ing bothered to pay attention to the details. Also this sharing trailers stuff is absolute ########! The company drivers and ABLs are smashing the living #### out of everything, and the company can't charge them. But if a IC or O/O is suspected of doing it, they deduct the repair costs from you without even discussing it. Also their push for these ####ing cameras, so many ####ing problems with this company; and their worried about the god #### cameras!

Landstar, the sweet spot, pick freight and go, don't have to carry the world on your shoulders like with your own numbers, but don't get mircoscrewed up like being leased on or company. I'm sure a lot of stuff still sucks there, but it prob sucks less.

Yup, those dispatchers that show no sign of being any further from the office than Google Maps has taken them, do take the cake.
The camera out the front, I can live with. Into the cab and it's a no go.
Keep up with the due diligence as you are. Then make the move if it feels right.
WTF have you got to lose if your not happy anyway. Good luck!

Well there is no stupid dispatchers here but there are stupid agents.
I called on a load. Yep sounds good I'll do it.
Ok give me 10 minutes and will send it over to you.
20 minutes later I get a phone call from a load broker who's English was even worse the agent's, to get all my info!! That's the agent's ##### job!!
10 minutes later everything is all good. I get about an hour and a half into my deadhead I get a call from the agent. Yeah the customer (load broker) has a problem with their account. The load is canceled.
The weather app says it is -37 in Saskatoon this weekend. Oh well not that upset with this one canceling. Lol

Been some years since I was at LS but I would never take at load to Laredo unless I already had another on booked coming out of there. There were guys sitting at the terminal for days trying to get out of there. I really doubt that has changed much either.
