I'm thinking troll but...giving Plowboy92 (and Scooter, don't want him feeling left out) benefits of doubt, sent my him login info to my accounts, to test him. And when he is done he can change passwords so I know he won't be in them anymore.... so far no account activity, I'm insulted.![]()

far from bankrupt, going bald though and get aggravated from time to time. I will admit though last 2 years have been really tough trying to run off the Board, as With kids now I’m more tied down. Earlier on I would go anywhere and bounce to the money. I’ve had some steady work, it all ends up sucking at some point. Maybe 1 day I will find my happy truly successful medium and get off the roller coaster ride.God prefers Diesels Thanks this.

Thank you for your encouragement!

In the end, we're all just trying to survive.
So show some compassion.
When I started in 1990, drivers used to actually help one another.
Thank you to the people in this thread who helped because a lot of us appreciate it.Last edited: Feb 8, 2021

I was thinking of doing that. Suspecting they were trying to pull a fast one, I emailed them and checked, and they confirmed my suspicion. Getting the discounted "MembersEdge" basically means you will have to remain a member of OOIDA for as long as you remain on the load board. If you one day realize what spammy and dishonest crap OOIDA membership actually is, and cancel the OOIDA membership, then you will lose all feedback you have built on your DAT account and have to re-register at TruckersEdge with zero feedback.

I had my free trial for longer than that. The problem is that they will not reveal the important details until you start paying. And it is in those details you will find how crappy DAT TruckersEdge really is. All high paying loads are posted by accounts with very low customer feedback (but the feedback is hidden until you pay for TruckersEdge) and in the field named "details" they put things in free text that change the whole offer. For example, when you are a trial member you may see that someone is offering $40,000 to haul for 2500 miles, but in the details they write that for this $40,000 they expect you to do something completely different, and sometimes the price isnt right either, it is all a "placeholder". The most common DAT TruckersEdge scam is that they put "roundtrip" but sometimes they want you to drive all across America and sometimes even Canada or Mexico and pick up and drop things off. If you ask them whether the "2500 miles" was just ######## then, they just laugh.
I contacted DAT TruckersEdge and expressed my disappointment over this. They did not respond. Seems as if all their staff is doing is to call and bug people to sign up. I will probably cancel my DAT TruckersEdge membership soon. Their slogan "best paying load board" was just a lie - I have found that free load boards pay better. -

Hey guys I was searching high and low in the forums section under load boards and could not find anything this is just a curiosity thing for me as I've always been an employee have on occasion toyed with the idea of running my own truck, with load boards I've noticed you will see like the same load listed multiple times from the same origin to the same destination, is this just one load listed multiple times or are they all separate loads?
-
Brokers do all sorts of stupid games on dat.
Many times the posted load comes from a place that's hours from where it is posted. -
Who currently regulates the load boards? How is there confidence in that information is from the original load owner? Correct me if I'm wrong but as I understand it if truckers use the load boards to take on jobs after brokers take a piece of their pie. Wouldn't it be helpful to the truckers if this was regulated and more streamlined? I'm surprised this hasn't happened yet. And no I'm not talking just another load board or like Uber where truckers simply take on their own freight without a broker only to end up with the lowest rate. I'm talking solving the double triple posting of the same job and short changing the drivers.
Anyway...I could be completely off base.Last edited: Jan 20, 2022
