My husband & I drive for FFE. The closest terminal to Mi would be in Xenia, Ohio. (That terminal is looking for regional & otr drivers) They do Regional runs to Michigan & surrounding states. We also have Linehaul OTR (terminal to terminal drop & hook)
My rookie yr as a solo driver I made close to 60k. My husband's solo rookie yr 55k. When pay was $.40 a mile. Now it's $.50 a mile w/ no exp.
My husband has a Cpap machine. He has the resmed air mini. We have it mounted so it doesn't get wear & tear on it. (1st one the jack for the plug broke) see pic below
Trucks are 2017 & newer freightliners. The 2017 are being phased out. They have both automatics & manuals. Since you have a Cpap you will get one that has an inverter. 2019 and newer all come w/ fridges & inverters. I am pretty sure the 2018 do too.
Home time is easy to get. Request 2 weeks in advance. They pay per diem, breakdown, & detention. Paid vacation & 40 hrs Pd time off for Dr's or sick day.Attached Files:

They also think if you aren't moving every single moment you can't make money. That's why I pointed out that I thought I sat a lot, (my 1st 6 mo) in reality I wasn't and the local gigs helped if I was. I averaged $1200+ a week.
Yes, Plasma makes great money. I don't want to work that hard

Chinatown Thanks this. -
Refrigerated companies pay well, except for some small outfits.
I didn't like sitting, but the pay made up for that. Example: $25 for the stop, plus $12 hr. until leaving.
Layover pay, 34 hr. restart pay, and lots of other stuff.Jenn72 Thanks this. -
If I am doing Regional (customers) I get paid $35 per stop & hourly pay while waiting. Depending on what region it is, it ranges from $22-25.
I had a delivery @ kingsouper in Denver. We sat there for 23hrs waiting for a door & unloaded. Got paid for the entire time. Dispatch was glad I was willing to sit & they didn't have to reschedule. I told my husband who wouldn't want to be paid while doing their 10.
Yes, those perks make up for sitting.Speed_Drums, Milr72 and Chinatown Thank this. -
If I were you. I’d be looking toward Chicago for companies. Chicago is king for trucking. Tons of companies and loads going everywhere. You’d be rather close to get you home.
