Brought a two dropper from Claremont NC and dropped first stop in Davenport IA and the next drop in the morning in Waterloo. Bounce to Fort Dodge for Fido food to Lincoln NE. Then, to another address in Lincoln back to the CB yard. Presumably a home load headed east for Friday and the weekend. Requested to be home Saturday, but that ain't happening. Sunday would be ok but thats a long shot too. Only have 34 hours on recap over the next four days. This winter weather? Maybe I will see MY shadow.

For those headed towards tx region over the weekend..expect accumulating snow from north texas region down to austin/San Antonio over to houston area and east texas latter part of weekend into monday...temps expected to stay below freezing all of monday it appears with low temps ranging from single digits to teens...stay safe..
MidWest_MacDaddy, RebelChick, Vic Firth and 1 other person Thank this. -
And here I was talking to a fellow driver about how we wanted TX loads and to take some time off in San Antonio. Not now! LOL I will gladly take that FL load and wait for TX to warm up a bit. I’m like a reptile that way. If I get cold, I can’t move. It’s such a joy to get older!
At least the northern states mostly know how to deal with winter weather.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -

is it typically a day off per week out at fcc?
-
Speaking for myself, I’ve discovered that as long as you are running hard, there is no formula. Ive taken 5 days after being off 2 days less than 2 weeks before. It’s attitude, but mostly where ya live!!MidWest_MacDaddy, runningman0661 and Modlite11 Thank this.

What trucknguy said. I go out two and a half weeks to three weeks and take 3-5 days. If they see you run hard, make your appointments, FCC WILL accomodate you.
MidWest_MacDaddy and runningman0661 Thank this. -
I’m a lease operator/owner operator (in two months my truck will be paid off) so technically I can take off as much time as I want. I normally run three to four weeks and then take off 5 to 6 days.
The drivers that run the regional fleet usually get home for 34 hours as a minimum and up to two days at the house. I’m not sure about company longhaul fleet guys, maybe someone will chime in.
