Oh yeah, I've been game planning this for a couple of days now. I've got multiple plans but since I won't have that much time left, it may. E a blessing in disguise.

Yea i dumped a bottle in each tank. Had been putting half bottle in each. Bought diapers at wally world. Wrapped dome filter up double layered. Dumped 1 bottle in reefer tank. I plan on not getting stranded. I used to run john deere just inside north dakota on containers. Winter up there is nothing to fool with.bryan21384 and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Its icy as hell down here fellas. I've been traveling at a pace of about 30 mph. 155 miles to get to Orange, and I'm gassed. I may burn up my 70 trying to get there. That's too big of a deadhead on ice for real. I am a little bit gassed mentally.
Lumper Humper and Professor No-Name Thank this. -
Man be careful. Dang it ya can shut down if ya have to. No one expects ya to risk driving if you feel it's not safe. We're on our 2nd repair on trailer 2414. An i figured out this morning that they didn't turn the self airing valve back on yesterday at exit 4 in east st. Louis. I told them i had turned it off so it would stop forcing oil out of the center plug. Even asked the guy to check to make sure air was no longer coming out of the center plug before i pulled out of their shop. Guess i should have checked their work over myself. Cuz once i turned the self air valve back on this morning then double checked everything at the fuel stop shortly after starting my day i discovered that same center plug leaking air and putting gear oil on the rim. Now I've learned what causes the problem and our shop guy chris said shut it off an keep an eye on the tires. Said it's hard to get the part for it out here on a sunday. So now we're having to get a tire fixed cuz with the air system off a problem developed between pre trip and clearwater mn an a tire went flat. It was up when i did my pretrip. Well anyway I've learned new things to keep in my memory bank for the future. Still 320 miles from Bismarck. Had to do a ten hr break and drive again cuz wife wouldn't had restart in in time to be on time at 04:00 tomorrow. It's freaking cold up here!!!!!!!!!bryan21384 and Lumper Humper Thank this.

I think the 24 series trailers are cursed. Just about every time I hook up to one, they need something done to them. I made it to Orange finally. I walked around outside to check the conditions of the road, and it was good the rest of the way from Hempstead on. If the road conditions weren't to my liking, I was going to stay there and wait it out. I have only 2.5 hrs left on my 70. I'm just going to pick the load up and come right back here to the Pilot until Tuesday morning. 2.5 hrs won't cover any significant ground in bad weather in my mind. I saw the forecast in North Dakota, and my goodness, the need to send y'all to Arizona or Florida afterwards....yall are gonna need to cook yourselves back to normal. Running in these temps, I think are steak dinner worthy.Lumper Humper and Professor No-Name Thank this.

I agree. This cold has just completely zapped my energy levels. I've been chocking the tires and idling the truck. I'm not shutting it off in these temps. Just not willing to chance it. I know i put additive in but it's just too cold out. Be outside for like 5 minutes and let any skin get exposed and 5 minutes seems too long.Lumper Humper and bryan21384 Thank this.

You are definitely doing right to idle it, you may have used additive, but this type of cold can kill a battery too, and yall are up there in frostbite weather. The other day, I got fuel in Joplin and I think it was 17 out and I picked a weird pump, it was fast on the driver side but slow on the passenger side. I got so numb because the wind was blowing with a ferocity, 15 min of being out there. I needed to sit in the truck for a few minutes, get back right then go inside.Professor No-Name and Lumper Humper Thank this.
