Cardinal rule is to never let your tanks go below half in the winter time because stuff like

Our fuel stops are in our dispatch info. Ya do the best ya can to use them but sometimes it gets a little farther between fuel stops that they give ya. I am familiar with most of the regular pilot/flying hooks we use but it's hard to remember all of the ones they get their best discounts at. I should make up a written list but being the procrastinator that i am , I've never done it. So I've maybe used some pilots on this trip that they normally wouldn't but i was trying to stay over half a tank. Plus it's easier to figure how much additive i need to cover below zero temps when staying at around a 100 gallon per fill up. Easier for me anyways.Lumper Humper Thanks this.

I'm still with them to this day. I haven't looked back. It's good steady money with miles to gobble up if you want them. For me, I'd say the pay is good. It works for my lifestyle. 60k to 65k gross is very attainable here. I think it's possible to see 70k gross depending on your cpm and whether you can sustain the company avg they advertise in the recruiting process(2700 miles per week). The benefits arent bad, the health insurance can be pricey depending on your situation. I love the equipment, the freight lanes, and the steady checks. Did you apply?Last edited: Feb 16, 2021

Thanks for that....lol, naw it was cool though, I went 30 miles up the road to Buna, TX. Everything was working there. They authorized fuel at that Valero. So I filled up there. Had a shower too, for 3 bucks. If I can knock off 200 more miles, I'll be contentProfessor No-Name, drvrtech77 and Lumper Humper Thank this.

I ran out of time in Lonoke, AR. It's going to be a other round of snow coming through here tonight. Itll be a difficult adventure to get up to Mt. Vernon. I tried to pull into a truck rest area a while ago. I didn't see any parking that looked good, so I was going to keep going. This guy got himself stuck in a big pothole trying to pull over to the side. It was laughable for real. He needed to call a wrecker but wasn't crazy about giving the wrecker 1000 bucks. Next thing, look in my mirror, it has to be at least 5 trucks lined up behind me, wondering what the delay is. Finally DOT pulls up, and one cuts through to rest through the grassy area, which had a dip, and covered in snow. I watched to see if he was going to get stuck but police cars always seem to wiggle out...I bet that driver got told to call a wrecker or take a ticket lol
