fraud of their lease program.
The SEC complaint says the fraud began when Celadon directed its then-wholly owned subsidiary, Quality Cos., to sell its idle trucks.

It was fraud on the worth of the Company that's why the SEC was in involved.Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

The former Celadon executives were charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud and securities fraud; five counts of wire fraud; two counts of securities fraud; one count of conspiracy to make false statements to a public company’s accountants and to falsify books, records and accounts of a public company; and one count of making false statements to a public company’s accountants.Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

Actually, I don't really care why and how they went out of business. That was not my original question. I'd like to know if anyone knows where I can get a copy of an old ad they ran either on TruckersReport or in a Truckers Mag from 2015.
-
Wow, just wow
They want to sue you for being a victim of fraud
That just suckscinderpop Thanks this. -
From a legal perspective, an ad won’t help you. Your lease contract is the binding document that will determine outcome of any suits.
-
Actually, it will. It's called bait and switch. Plus the contract had to be with an approved carrier. Celadon which owned Quality even after they supposedly split went BK. So, if the lease is dependent upon the approved carrier and the letter of intent from Celadon, I'm good. The Crossword Trucker Thanks this.
