It can get even worse than having to pay for the privilege of driving that bright, shiny big wheel. A friend of mine, now retired, had a stint with a Russian-owned company out in California. He drove a 2008 Freightliner Cascadia for them on I-10 runs to Texas. Outside of Deming one day he had a fuel pump problem of some sort and was stuck for a couple days. Had to pay for his room, of course. But then had the bill for the repair subtracted from his check. The OM blamed him for not recognizing the problem and stated "driver abuse". Also "fined" him for the late load. ended up with a paycheck for $79 and change on a week long out. Of course, he walked. But he did so by leaving the truck at a Pilot I think in Indio or somewhere out there. Got home to death threats on his answering machine. He called back to tell them to "go ####ey" themselves (He's an Asian guy and uses that phrase like that) and told them he was giving the tape to the FBI. The OM hung up right away.

All russians European drivers need to stay and drive on yall European autobahns overthere, yall are about 60% of the reason the rates are bad because they pull loads 0.60-0.80 cpm as owner ops

There is two sides to every story

Anyone notice that whenever someone says “there’s two sides to the story” or “there’s more to the story” said person(s) don’t elaborate or give specific details or they end up being company shills doing damage control (usually just joining the forum)?
And then when they get called out we usually don’t hear from them again?Farmtractor9900, truckguy391, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
There is always three sides to every story. Yours, theirs and the truth. However, if you go to orientation and there is a Welcome Comrades banner over the doorway, I personally would go home.
Lonesome, TB John, Farmtractor9900 and 1 other person Thank this.
