    I think that is the drivers door; barely hanging on. Serves that fool right for doing that. Maybe stupid learned something, but I doubt it.

    the sad fact of life, if i recall from decades ago is that, IF the car is less then 8 months old, they do not total it, they rebuild it.

    that was due to the vehicle being basically considered right off the car lot, and had value.

    i do not know, if that has changed over the decades, and unless someone here actually wrecked a brand new vehicle, (under 8 months old), we will never really know, the outcome of his situation.

    but tell you what, with unibody construction, the hit that car took, i'd NEVER want it back if it was rebuilt.

    i'd find a way to have it stolen, THEN collect on the insurance.

    i'd NEVER trust a car rebuilt from a wreck.
