The Jake brake won't work with the cruise control on my truck, and since the cruise control doesn't work that well I rarely use it - I'd rather have the jake brake.

 

I can’t wait for Spring! I’m so sick of this winter! Past 2 months no temps above 32 ####### ice and snow!! I know everyone has had to face these issues but I’m ####### over it!

 

Idk if any of you have ever delivered to Mogadore GP. The place is pretty easy to get around the back is relatively simple. But man that place is my white whale. I never have any problems at all getting it to the door. It’s just that I’m always crooked. I pull up 5-6 times just to straighten things out. Idk if the drop lot across from docks is crooked or angled, or if the docks are crooked or angled. One things for sure I’m always crooked or angled. I like going there because it means I’m getting close to home. It must be a hometime thing.

 

I must be getting better at backing. I've noticed some things I wondered were even possible aren't that bad, and some that should be easy peasy require several attempts to finish just like in the past. The other day I noticed I was lined up squarely in front of the door next to the one I was supposed to backing into, that was a new one for me, I was wrong and right at the same time.
I still struggle with those off angle backs too, anything that isn't a right angle can easily get me disoriented like a fun house mirror if I'm not careful. The snow covering the lines now makes this a little more challenging too until I remember that no one is parked all that straight now anyway and I just need to line up on something close enough like everybody else.

 

Weather wise the last 2 days have been fantastic. Just talked to one of my previous trainees she is on a load from Chatsworth to Omaha and then onto North Dakota. Jealous of that one, have yet to make it into the Dakota’s.

 

Skip the I71/75 bridge from Cincinnati to Florence KY for a while unless you want to loose a bunch of time while seeing some good old fashioned southern hospitality from people who know their place in line isn't at the end but right in front of you. According to the CB taking the 275 bypass skips this mess, and the KY highway department website is still down when I looked to verify this.

 

I think I might have run into one of @keen98 former students tonight. Pretty sure it might have been @packersfanmw87. By the time it hit me who it was he was back in his bunk.

 

Why are they already taking the 19s? I thought those were next year's trade ins? Makes me nervous because I have a 20 and I ain't ready to give it up.

 

Last year I think they doubled up on the 17s and 18s since there are none left. This year I hope they just stick with the 19s I’m not ready to give up my 20 either.

 

Yikes at that $150k accident.
