You probably shouldn't either.
But I have a feeling you will anyway.I'm callin' bovine excrement on that comment unless you have the statistics to back that claim up.
You don't even know GasHauler, you've never met him and I'll bet he's never voiced his views on things to you. So how can you make ignorant statements like that, and expect us to take you seriously?
For instance, ..........................................
I seriously doubt that "the average gun owner" --- as you called what they call them, --- knows much about the Constitution at all. For that matter, I doubt many of them actually take the time to study the issues when it comes election time.
I question your own knowledge of the Constitution, and I'd wager what you actually know about it is far less than the impression you're trying to have us believe. That I agree with.Is that so?
Hmmmmmmmmm
I hear, and agree that, guns don't kill people, ---- people do.
Following that logic, guns don't "save" lives, ---- the people with a gun save those lives.
A gun is just a dumb object incapable of doin' ANYthing on it's own.Pretend we all know nothing about the 10th amendment and 'splain it to us as it relates to carry laws.
We're waitin'. ................:smt069
You must frequent some rowdy places. Is that by choice?Really?I'm only guessin, what'cha wrote there is correct, ---- so it shouldn't
be too difficult to provide us with the statistics to back that claim up.
Accuracy is important, as you probably know.
ANYone can log on here and make claim after claim about anything and expect folks to just accept it as fact, when in fact, it isn't factual at all.
Within just a couple of posts, total, you jump right in with both feet, ----
accusing another poster of knowing less than they think they know.
That's the impression you're projecting.
Prove me wrong?

I really wish more people would take that line of reasoning to heart. Could solve a lot of problems in society, and not just how it relates to guns.
-
Wrong!
A side arm is a tool to disable those that would cause me or my family harm.Same as the hammer I could use,the knife, the stick, a picture of Ol' Aunt Mary(trust me
).
You language insinuates that guns and (by relation) their owners are dumb. That generality is as ignorant as it is incorrect.
As for you numbers here is a link to several studies about "gun control"
http://gunowners.org/links-to-source-studies.htm
Here is a link citing which laws pertain to your state and which states offer reciprocity,or honor civilian weapon permits aka.CCW,C+C or however your state labels the permit.
http://legallyarmed.com/
We as commercial drivers are not singled out. However I would advise interested parties to research Jason's Law
http://www.jhlrivenburg.com/
He sure could have used a way to disable his killers, and this legislation only forces the varying states to honor the rights provided to their citizens to all travelers.
If this is duplicate info because I have not the time read 102 pages I apologize. -
At present I own a security firm and have spent some time going to different placed for firearm training and demonstrations. I have traveled with at least 3 guns in my semi ( I like my guns) Have yet to see a low that says I cant carry them and there is a permit that you can get in Arkansas I believe, dont quote me on that, that will allow you to carry in 36 out of 50 us states. Odds are if you get robbed you wont be in your truck anyway and drivers we all know the bulk of us cant shut the ##### up so carrying it will just get you in trouble. My suggestion in vest in a tazer. Not a stun gun or cattle prod but a tazer like those used by the cops. They are legal to carry anywhere and all you legally have to do to use one is say stop or you will be tazed. Whisper it if you have too but i promise you that its not a good feeling and you stop whatever you are doing. I got shot it sucks
-
You are wrong on the AR permit. I have a UT permit and it is the most widely accepted, 34 states. You are however correct about getting robbed and not being in the truck, that's why I carry my gun on me whenever it is legal for me to do so.

I do believe that what you misunderstood is a gun is a dumb object! NEVER have you heard of a gun killing someone! It takes a HUMAN to hold the gun and pull the trigger!
I can put my weapons on my coffee table and have a party all around them and they will sit there all night, all day, all year and not hurt or kill a single person. It takes a person to pick one up, take the safety off, point and pull the trigger to kill!
THAT is where these liberal morons can't understand! It's not the guns fault but the stupid humans! And the criminals understand this better than liberals! No wonder this country is fast becoming a haven for criminals and the uniformed! Get rid of stupidity and the gun laws are fine the way they were written 233 years ago! Awww crapola, there's no law against stupidity!outerspacehillbilly and kwray Thank this. -
Some people carry idolatry to an extreme. Fear is a form of worship, as is blind faith.
-
Not all by itself its not...TN is also good for 34 states.
http://www.tennessee.gov/safety/handgun/reciprocity.htm -
What did that mean? He didn't say he idolized guns: just that they're intrinsically harmless. And how is fear "worship"? Would that mean that our other psychological states are also worship, like apathy, confusion, and depression?
-
Dont get caught in IL or IN with a concealed weapon, its ILLEGAL Period. They do not have a CWP in thowe 2 states. Carry an shotgun and keep it in plain sight. THAT is not illegal.
