Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Yep the same bs you delt with as well. No luck
-
Well I am doing horrible still no job. I stay up all night and fill out applications and when I wake up I fill out more
thats even if I can get sleep. Bills are still pileing up and yea. Well hopefully you guys have gotten some luck. I'm getting to the point of regretting that I even spent all this money to get my CDL. Oh and the e-mails from NETTTS have stopped hmmmm..No local jobs I guess.
-
No luck here as well. What gets me upset is that I have other degrees to fall back on and no luck in those fields either. CT job market is by far one of the worst around. I regret spending 3700 bux on nettts. The instructors don't teach and you have to teach yourself and deal with knuckle heads around you who don't care. I am going to be patient until the new year. After the new year we should look into teaming up and contacting these companies since most only want teams right now.

Just don't hold those CDL's without using them !! Get on somewhere- before long....

Kinda hard to get a job here in CT when no one is hiring new drivers. Even local construction, oil/propane delivery, beer and soda distributors, local p&d want 1-5 yrs experience. As well as the companies like Werner, Swift and other starter companies not hiring in this location without at least 6 months OTR. A couple of companies want teams but they can not gauranty a job without finding a teamate. One of them told me to come down do the orientation with little pay and sit around for a few weeks until they can find a teamate and if they can't find one they let you go with no job.
-
Yea I was almost hired by USA Truck but they denied my app so I am still out of a job.
-
Did they tell you why they denied you?
-
I went to NETTS in RI and Swift hired me. Did you try them. The only problem is it is a long wait from when you are accepted to when you get a date for orientation.
