At least one bare foot on the dash (sandal optional), Velcro an Electronic device streaming porn or video games to the steering wheel, set the cruise at 62 and putter on down the road?

Just south of Birmingham all of the ingredients to make steel (pig iron in pre-steel times) can be found within 30 minute drive of one another.

I got out of jersey around 4:30am. If me and @Rideandrepair were in the state at the same time. Maybe thunder thunder thunder snow would have happened. It snowed on the way out, no thunder. I dont like PA with snow covered roads and hills. I only have 8k in the box, wish it was 30k fir the snow. ❄️

Oh I forget to mention. No skids in my trailer all the boxes are hand packed in. It's a load of little boxes half a trailer. Took 7 hours, so I got up at 2:30am and was moving around 3 am.

Picking up in the meat patch today. After I drop off the current trailer for a PM of the reefer. Then heading to PA. A "lovely" 3 stop drop off. Hopefully the weather will be better once I get to PA.

I'm at the first stop of my twofer.

The light tain intensified to heavy tain just in time for me to get wet doing my walkaround.

I mean, not "soaking", "hang up the clothes in the sleeper" wet, but wetter than I wanted to be today.

Got the defrost cranking on hot, coat nearly dry. Things are looking up.

Last time I was at this customer was about a year ago. There was construction everywhere at the plant, things were all tore up, and it took some serious backing to get spotted.

So when I check in, rent-a-cop tells me "go all the way around back", I'm confused but I figure, "Hey, maybe they put in a bigger tank and moved the process line back there. Wudduwino?"

I drive all the way around back, no tank, ask the yard jockey.

He says, "Dunno why he sent ya back here, syrup trucks unload upfront"..........:banghead:

I can't get that scene from the training film "Duel" out of my mind, where the tanker driver runs over and demolishes the phone booth.......

I can believe the $900 bill. I live in TX and during the summer time, I have had bills that were over $1200 a month.

My average electric bill when I had kids at home ran $300 - $350 during winter. During summer it average in the $500 - $600 range.

I remember when they voted for the deregulation in TX. We were told it would lower our electric bills. It didn't. I had just transferred from Ca to DFW. My electric bills were about the same in the two states. After the deregulation my bill in TX doubled and went up every year.
