I read a paper with their trucks in there. Western Express has a side line business of selling their company trucks. They might be a source too.
My best friend who is an O/O doesn't make as much as he did when he was a company driver. The thing he does have is freedom to pick his own loads.
He is leased to Landstar. He usually shuts down for income tax season for a month or two. He does taxes for his other business. -
This doesn't surprise me. Roehl can't tell me what not to say anymore and I plan on keep on telling people what low-lives they can be and this is just one more example of their gestapo tactics. Instead of planning better and securing more customers they are spending their time being big brother and making sure everyone is still drinking the Roehl Kool-aid. I just want to know how they plan on stopping all former drivers of posting. And just one more thing how did they find out who grc is? I'll be glad to let them know who I am.

If they were so above board they wouldn't care if what was said or if a name was used. I use names and I will continue to use names. Anything I said was true and my experiences so they can bite me running.

As a company driver I'm quite frustrated at what has happened here, its guess it's very simple. Dont talk about any thing that would cast a negitive light on the company. Ok thats fine, but Im not going to lie and make stuff up either. Roehl states that they want their drivers to promote honesty, High morale values, and to be trustworthy. Thats great, but I expect the same from my company! Would I like to say more? Yes, but I need my job and
in these economic times jobs are hard to come by trucking and non trucking. So good luck to all and be safe! This driver is Keeping his trap shut for now! -

just telling it like it is .... only had 1500 miles this week .... picked up a load fri nite # 1700 going 600 miles to deliver .... delivery appt is monday # 1130 .... i asked to have appt moved earlier to sunday or even earlier on monday .... no ..... to top it off, when i picked up load, original appt was for monday 0400 and Roehl changed it to 1130 .... so now with only 40 hrs used on my 70, i'm gonna do a reset and collect layover and i am scheduled to be home on wed ....

I am hoping to get on with a company that pays practical miles.
One thing to consider when driving as an owner operator is how many miles you are going to drive that you don't get paid for.
As a company driver it might make you sick to see what the company might be getting paid for, and what they really pay you.
Owner operator is a possibility in my future. Just at least 2-4 years first. -
If you still work for Roehl then for your job security I would do the same because trust me they will spin a situation to make it look like you are insubordinate. Call me silly but when a company makes a big deal out of honesty and safety as core values than I expect no less from a company. Roehl has changed and not for the better. Good luck to all that still are there.

Are they still requiring you to be a certain amount of miles to the appt to be able to get layover? And is it after the first 24 hours when it starts?
