TONU?
Up and ready to go. Excited to get started and trying to remember all the stuff I need for paperwork, rate cons, etc. Oh and I booked my first load delivering into NJ. WTH I get to choose where to run and I go to NJ. SMH. I arrive at the shipper, find a place to park and head inside. They can’t find that number pickup anywhere. They had a different number for the same place. I go back out and look through all my stuff. Nope I don’t have that number. I call and E-mail. About 45 minutes later I find out that the load was cancelled overnight. Well we’re not off to a good start. A few phone calls later I get offered a load picking up in Ligonier, IN going to Blacksburg, VA note yet posted and paying better than the last load. Received a TONU and an unposted load at a good rate. Plus it was 17k lbs.
Picked it up and made it to Beckley, WV for the night. Delivered the next morning. While getting unloaded I started looking for the next load. Was a little gun-shy to book one early until I got used to XPO’s system and the average load/unload times. Found a paper load in Raphine going to Knox, IN . Uhg paper. Heavy & cheap but it was pretty much the only thing close at that point. I have learned that they do usually load and unload quick which is the only plus.

Made it to Know, IN the next morning and had a quick unload. I booked my next load while getting unloaded. Milford, IN to Guilford Center, NY. I had only been out for 1 1/2 weeks, this load paid well and was close to the house. So I figured I'd take a 34 at the house and pick up a few things that I needed that I didn't bring with me. Heavy load but open windows for Pick up and delivery. Easy one with no problems. A decent check for the start of this new experience. $1972 .
Enjoyed a nice reset at home and spent some more time learning the load board.LoSt_AgAiN, Speed_Drums, Suspect Zero and 1 other person Thank this.
