Refusing a Load/Overweight

    Goodmorning, i know this all too well , i helped and rescused driver too, its not easy over the plate, mine was a camble soup load , with a split beer in the front , right there outa tell the dum dum driver hes gonna be overweight, but driver was green behind the ears and was picking up freight too fill the trl, well he filled the trl right up too doors, now i can laugh about it , :biggrin_2559: i told him not too worry about, we get ya going no time,he learned his lesson, we got him legal and mine was under, but i took it the shipper, anyway, now i didnt get anything for my extra time or trouble, sorta , not money wise, but load wise yes, becuse my dispacther, she was good and we got along good , said to me , rember last week when you bail that driver out and me , i said yes, heres your load , whoooooo doggy ,a big nice fat juicy premuim run , wow really i said, i had short runs some longs far and few between , shes she just said thanks for helping out last week, i just said no problem, thanks for a nice run, so it will work out , trust me, may not be today, mayby next week, or whenever,Everett:biggrin_255:

    Haha! It's not lettuce, you didn't miss anything! I actually don't know what it is. Or, I don't remember.

    Update - Hubby and the other empty were still waiting this morning. Either the company that loaded it was going to come out and take care of their mess OR if they aren't there by whatever time (they set a deadline, I guess?) the guys are going to split the load and both head to NC.

    The company owner spoke to both my husband and the other gentleman and thanked them for their patience in this situation and explained that they would be compensated for this. Hubby said layover pay - maybe around $100/day. Just one of those icky situations. Like I said from the get-go, you have to take the bad w/ the good and this is one of those times.
