Looking at purchasing a 2014 Volvo Vnl64t300 and don’t need a fairing on the roof. How hard are they to remove?

I didn’t ask about which truck to buy. For farm use hauling grain we don’t want a sleeper.

I removed the wind scoop off the top of my old Freightliner. Just a few bolts, but they are heavy. I’d say at least 4-500 pounds. Getting it down without scratching the truck is the worst part.

That being said, it will never look right. There will be mounting hardware on your roof that can’t be removed also the cab lights and lack of horns, or only one goofy looking horn will kind of ruin the looks of it.

I do not know the newer to me Volvo model numbers. If the fairings bolt to brackets on top just do like OldeSkool said. Three men can slide those off the back no problem. Cows and corn do not care what those brackets look like on top.
When you start taking the brackets of the cab you are looking a lot more work and possibilities for leaks.

    spsauerland Thanks this.
