I just looked at the key for my ‘97 Chrysler Sebring and It is the same style as the ones in your pic.
I think I’m gonna go Shaker shopping tonight. Lol!feldsforever and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
When fabbing keys to work the length doesn’t matter most times. It’s the notch cut and grooves that make it work. The extra length toward the head doesn’t matter. I’ve gotten lots of vintage cars and trucks over the years with lost keys or mismatched tumblers and probably have had a hundred keys and locks custom made over the years.
That first couple sentences sound dirty. Lol!feldsforever and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Don't do it or you'll end up having to work for Western Express when you are released from the pen.MadScientist, 86scotty, James j and 3 others Thank this.

Here are my keys. The original 2020 & spare made at Walmart using a dodge key. They both work to start and unlock my truck.Last edited: Mar 12, 2021

I was locked out of the Freightliner Century in mid 2000s.
I did not like the situation. A person offered his key and I used it and it worked.
I was locked out of the Freightliner Century, the 2nd time that year: in mid 2000s.
I did not like the situation. I approached a compassionate looking person to let me use his key, He did and I used it and it worked.
I was locked out of the Freightliner Century, the 3rd time in the same year: in mid 2000s.
I did not like the situation. Nobody wanted to offer their keys and I pleaded to a compassionate looking person to let me use his key, swearing that all would be fine...
The fellow had mercy on me and did let me have his key, however, very hesitantly. Well... The key twisted like it was made from playdough and broke off...I hated the situation.
To cut the long story short: I handed the fellow $100 bill to wipe his tears and I called the local Lock Smith. If I remember correctly, I ended up paying to the lock smith something close to $300 to service the both trucks.
I did not lock myself out every since....
My goodness....At least with Volvos, you won't lock yourself out....unless you lose the key or leave in the shower.feldsforever, Jenn72 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
My Freightliner key has the one flat side unlike my Dodge key.
Also, my Freightliner key will not start a 99 Toyota Sienna.
Jenn72 and feldsforever Thank this.
