If climate gives you grief about being late because of conditons that you have no control over, might be time to find a better company to work for..

Hey by the way , i got our trailer washed out at exit 4 pilot in east st.louis yesterday after that watermelon mess. They charged 81.59 on climate's account. That seemed kinda steep considering all they do is spray the trailer out with a pressure wand. Just thought all the climate drivers that read this oughta beware of that.

One thing i would do is if you have a # to the consignee, call and see if anyone is there first thing in the morning as well..they may have issues getting there depending on conditions..better to get there late in one piece than have an accident and not get there at all..nothing in that trl is worth it...just play it by ear so to speak and whatnot..my experience with limon when 70 has been closed is that is one big cluster juggernaut to say the least...

Climate isn't going to trip about being late. Where they get upset is if you don't communicate with them. They'll work with drivers to find an appropriate solution. I've had trouble due to bad weather and I've sometimes been able to anticipate some of these conditions. If any of us on this thread have issues delivering, then they'll know it's a real problem.

Good God man, did the watermelons make a big mess in there? I know at the beacon they charge extra if it takes longer than 10 minutes or so.

If you stopped in Ellis, that should be plenty of time to get 70 and 25 clear. I think that's a good plan. It'll taper off by midnight, and if you start at 3am, that's still 2 hrs or so from the Colorado line. It'll be like 430 Denver time when you reach the state line. Surely they'd have at least the right hand lane cleared out by then. I'm thinking you'll be good on 25 as well because it's a lot of traffic going up to Cheyenne. If I'm in your shoes, I'd call Mike and let him know what the possibilities are, that way you've covered ya ###

I mean I don't want to go back to work for another place that I used to work at but I sure do miss the dedicated run I had. I used to run out here all winter long and I'd even go up past Denver and put chains on and go up to Silverthorne and I don't know that was a long time ago but I don't remember shutting down much for the weather but I guess once in a while you have to. Of course I know that they say this is an unanticipated late winter storm as well.

Well I mean there was some watermelon down in the rails but not anything extreme. I mean all he did was spray it out with a pressure wand. I just thought that was a little ridiculous $81 I mean what are they charging mechanic labor rate or something. And yeah I know it's not my money but I guess I never really looked at the #### receipt before because I thought it was just a standard washout cost.
