In NJ we call were you get your unemployment check the unemployment office, or "unemployment". Unemployment will pay for you to go back to school for free if you are in an approved program or even pay for you to get your CDL or similar vocational program up to $4000. So thank you Mr. Taxpayer for me to go to school for free. Your a great guy.

Yes, I bump elbows with the real deal. I was involved in DOT physicals, DOT monthly inspections, writing down hub numbers, and a whole host of other fun issues that you dont deal because you are driving. But dont worry, I will soon be one of the real deal like you. lol

I don't usually correct anyone's posts anymore. However, since you felt the need to speak about the stupidity of Swift employees compared to your own self admiration for your education and intelligence I'll make this one exception and help you out. After all, I am a Swift driver therefore I shouldn't be able to find anything inferior about you.

So you were employed by another trucking company? How sweet. I hope you'll work for them as a driver.

Most people who work for newbie companies know better than to defend them. Get your experience and then move on. Be smart about it.

I have never worked for Swift, I worked for Rite Aid when Swift took over and I left but the drivers who wanted to stay kept there jobs, that was back in 2003 or 4 I think. The guys who stayed seem to be ok with it.

As far as bad drivers employed by Swift, I really do not see very many of them. They seem to mostly stay on the company cb channel, and do not seem to really cause any more trouble than anyone else. On the 15 corridor they maybe some of the more polite drivers. I have seen Swift drivers pull some bonehead moves along with CREST, The Great Pumpkins, England, Knight, or the rest.

Of course I'll be taking your advice since I respect you so greatly, after all you are the great all knowing Wizard of Trucking. :biggrin_25526: This isn't Oz, I'm not Dorothy and I look behind the curtain before I trust the advice of some unknown man with his own agenda.

The newbie companies are getting better now that they have closed down most of their schools. Much of it is due to the economy. After a while, it becomes the same drivers driving and the crew starts to gel with one another. When the economy picks up though, its back to the constant turnover of drivers. Then the management treats them like you would treat a kid at McDonalds; always expecting something bad to go down at any minute.
