lesson learned.....if any of you find yourself in this situation, just keep going. That is the only way to avoid trouble.

Sorry Christy, when you have enough time under your belt as a Lawyer that I have as a 2 million mile safe driver then I might believe what you have to say.

After many years of driving and reading countless articles like the one written, I must say that they give Law degrees to just about anyone. Too bad the Law profession isn't regulated like the transportation sector.Elvenhome21 Thanks this. -
Already left mine.
kajidono, Texasgordo, gearjammer-2000 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I was just looking around that site for info on who they are.
They have to be related to crash and other organizations, because I saw flawed data all over the site.
Check this out...
" More importantly, the U.S. Department of Transportation's 2005 statistics showed 4,932 trucks were involved in fatal traffic accidents. Studies show that in more than 80 percent of tractor trailer traffic accidents, the non-commercial driver is not at fault, and most of the deaths or injuries in such accidents happen to the non-commercial driver. "
That is a quote from there commercial accident section, see anything wrong in it??
They changed a word or two from the actual facts, and changed the whole situation.
I bolded it to make it more noticable.
The actual facts are that over 80% of the time the commercial licence holder is not at fault.
This makes me sick. -
I myself just posted on their comments.

....
I guess if there is ANY OTHER VEHICLE on the road we should stop just in case they might hurt themselves....Wiseguywireless Thanks this. -
Wow I assume david isn't one our members

You would assume wrong.
The quote you posted comes directly from the Department of Labor. Truck driving IS classified at the same level as a grocery bagger....unskilled.
There are some "political" nuances behind that classification. But we would need a thread on "legal" immigration workforce to cover those.
We would also need a thread on how hard the ATA is working to subvert the driving community, as a whole. By lobbying to maintain the "unskilled" designation in the language, while pretending to care about highway safety.onelikeseabass Thanks this. -
yer right, Baack.... a grocery bagger gets overtime pay....
