You have to call the insurance company because it varies massively depending on your age location experience mvr truck trailer type of freight radius etc etc.
86scotty, Farmtractor9900, Mattflat362 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I tried calling all state and they never get back to me. That’s my current insurance for my house and car so I figured I go with them . Do you have any suggestions on who should I try ?

I don't think Allstate does tractor trailers. Not all insurance companies insure people in every state so I'm not sure what companies to tell you but your best bet is to just go online there are trucking insurance businesses that will get you quotes from different people that will cover you in whatever state you are in.
I would suggest you look on truck paper or something and pick the type of truck that you want and take a VIN number from that and give it to them because they will probably need that to give you more of an accurate quote. -
Try Old Dominion

It depends on the equipment's value and deductible, then who the insured is.
Averages won't do much good here, the curve is very skewed and perhaps rather irrational.
For instance:
My progressive quote for $162 000 truck was $3 500 per year. $30k trailer was $1000 (4 years ago) both at $1000 deductible.
My current equipment : truck and trailer estimated value 45k cost me $1500 per year with Progressive.
Someone else in my place might pay less than I do or might pay twice as much.
Now, that's only Physical Damage portion: covers damage and theft, there is also bobtail liability (leased on), auto liability (own authority), general liability, cargo - depending on what's needed
