Hey, which one of these companies will let us drink beer in the truck. Doesnt care about how many tattoos a person has. Will ignore a few DUI's still on a guys record. Thinks flip flops, cut off jean shorts and tank tops are cool? Oh, and most of all will let somebody who has never driven a big truck before, loose in just a few weeks?
These polls are entirely stupid, zero value. I smell a board troll, possibly a recruiter looking to pad some numbers or what???
15 companies, which one is the overall best in your opinion!

What does that say ?
-
Don't know "what that says". But it sure says it with big letters! LOL

I've no experience with any of these outfits. The way I look at it, the goal of every driver should be to become an owner operator, steer your own ship and do it the way you want. That's just my philosophy.
With that in mind, although I've not researched this on my own, I've heard that JCT has the best lease purchase program out there. Many people go the lease purchase route for a number of reasons. If you must, I'd look into JCT.
I did look into Hill Brothers LP program and it looked quite respectable as well. Crete might even be worth a look-see as well. -
My goal, as best as I can formulate it now, is to be an O/O. I've read a fair number of threads in the forum about the "ups/downs and in/outs" of ownership but, of course, I'll have to get some time under my belt before I make a decision.
JCT, the leader in my little poll, does seem to have a pretty solid reputation.
Thanks for your advice. Always good to hear from you!
Oldnew....Gears Thanks this. -

The MODs, not sure which one - but I'm pretty sure, just improved the poll title plus added a comment above the poll choices. Slick, thanks!!

does any body know if jct has a website? I tried googling them earlier, but came up with nuttin.
-
Well, some things never change....JCTs' website hasnt.
I voted Roehl and WILL continue to do so until JCT "lays it out front" at their website. **No assumption should be made that a vote for ANY ONE Company should be based ENTIRELY on website production, that'd be ludicrous** Many of the other companies listed do a very fine job at "SELLING"(Promoting if you will)" themselves with UP FRONT OUT IN THE GOOD OLE OPEN REPRESENTATION. I for one, appreciate and respect in "marketing-to-sell-oneself" the fact that ones' person or a structured business would take "consideral time" and "effort" to ensure their interested observers would be in the "slightest", glued to their set with what they're viewing. Granted, you dont need a HUGE website to explain EVERYTHING but, the "expected natural" info should be apparently listed as "business as usual"(I feel) Benefits, CPM, Hiring Area, Take truck home, etc.
PROS: Well "litup" website presentation.
"Orientation Tutorial" is a well and intellegently "in depth" of what to expect.
VERY indepth about Company Bigtrucks you'll drive(hopefully your first isnt Ductaped together).
No fineprint on end of Application when you submit. Now you dont have to worry COMPLETELY like on some Apps where they accidently-on-purpose omit ".....to the best of my knowledge" and replace with "...........are true and exact and can affect my termination later"
CONS: Click on "Higher Pay Rates", and (ahem) WHY is the LEASING of a truck go in-depth and NO mention of hiring charts or examples of CPM RATES for Exp or Newbies mentioned? Would they be masking that fact?.....nah, not a trucking Company....they want you to call...use caller ID to trap your number cause ya aint interested....then keep calling back til ur blue in the face.
Lease to own section is splattered and hinted alot. Power of suggestion ya think?
Wheres the Award programs at, rather it be for safety(cpm increase), mileage accummulated on monthly average(cpm increase) etc etc.
Benefits are not mentioned indepth, which I think is kinda important.
SURE, if you want to become a "Leaser" it suuuure is mentioned indepth for pay etc etc.
Of course we all advise an applicant to call BUT think about it. Why do A L L the other Companies make it apparent in the outset? They got nothing to hide or deceive to you YET(Companies in the Poll do an excellent job of preparing the applicant BEFORE they decide to call or submit an Application.) Many other "important" subjects arent mentioned but will stop here.
FYI to Newbies: When you go to a Companies' Website, just once act like your a future prospective Customer and click on those Tabs. Youd be surprised at whats NOT mentioned in the "Driver Career Opportunities" that pertains to you.MADMAX683 Thanks this. -
