Called with Brian again today, everything is essentially all set long as I keep my driving record clean has me roughly penciled in for June. Driving record staying clean is only thing that could derail this move (outside of robbing a bank or something haha.) Next week I start in the yard and am very excited to come join you guys in Grand Forks in a couple months.

Well, I did wind up going to Exton after Reading. But it wasn t the load I hoped for. Anyways, I got sent to Nappanee, IN, then to Fort Wayne then to Kansas City, KS for a whopping 620 miles from Friday 5pm to Monday morning.
It was rough ride across Ohio with the wind and 8,000 lbs from PA. Then I got the news later that day that a tornado had ran a path less than 10 minutes where I live. It killed 5 people. So its been alot of mixed emotions lately. I had checked on everyone through FB and most of them were ok, and it hit home seeing that it could ve very well been my home, or my family member lost in the tornadoLonesome, drvrtech77 and 88 Alpha Thank this. -
A little advice I will share with you before coming aboard, like when you re driving, make sure you stop behind the white line at the stop sign, and let the speedometer set to 0. Somehow with our cameras in the truck, it will trigger a rolling stop if you don t stop behind the white line, and try to pay close attention to speed limit signs, and red lights. Our camera will send an alert for petty stuff.
Just trying to get you in an early habit so you don t ever have to hear Kevin or Davis nag about the camera events. Just trying to help you be ahead of the curve before you get hereLonesome and RampageGNS Thank this. -
#### man I’m glad your family is safe and sound. That’s really scary, condolences to everyone who lost someone in the area.bigkev1115 Thanks this.

Thanks man, really appreciate it. Are we talking going 1mph over level petty?

Nah, We ve had drivers do stupid stuff like doing 15 over in construction zones, and following way too close like within a second of the vehicle in front of them.
Like example, the construction zone that was in Sioux City, IA. During the construction, it was a 50 mph speed limit with cameras sticking out in plain sight, and drivers blowing past it at 65 mph, and they sent S&S a warning letter that next time a driver comes through there at 65 it would be a reckless driving ticket.
Also, when you come aboard, be careful through Moorhead, MN. Its a no fly zone. 55 mph and Minnesota loves going after drivers hauling tail through thereRampageGNS and Lonesome Thank this. -
Ok that all seems very fair then. No worries on any of that. Appreciate all the tips, willing to take in any information to get myself ahead of the curve and keep safety (I’m assuming that’s the department the guys you mentioned are in) off my back. Thank you man.Lonesome and bigkev1115 Thank this.

Well I’m in my permanent truck now, thank you Brian!! She’s a smooth riding, roomy Freightshaking Freighter.
Hope all is well this week. It’s been a good week so far, except for sitting on Clear Lake, Iowa ALL day yesterday.
Was up all day and couldn’t get a nap so once I got loaded went and parked it in my pay spot at the Pilot next door. Got to the yard late this morning, and was told to move into the truck.
No complaints at all!!! Well maybe thinking I lost my wallet, but that’s another story for another day...

Figured I’d stop in and let you guys know how first week in the yard went. Everything is going really well, took a day and a half to figure out exactly how the trailer reacts to you. Got a tip from Kev but ever since straight back has been smooth with no cone clipping. Then today they brought me out to the road I was worried about shifting because they all tell us people who drive manual cars have a harder time but it actually went really well my instructor was impressed I did so well. Didn’t stall or miss my gears didn’t hit anything either. All in all a really good first week. I absolutely love it in the truck.

I hope everyone is having a Happy Easter as of this post. I m just sitting outside my consignee in Arlington, TX.
I haven t been up to too much lately, just doing boomerang stuff like Emporia, KS to Grand Forks back to Emporia, or starting in Watertown, SD back to Grand Forks, then ending the day at Watertown.
After I delivered in Emporia, I went back to Olathe supposedly supposed to pick up a load for Des Moines, but since I had a VB series with the wrong e tracks, they couldn t load me, so I dead headed up to Des Moines, and picked up a 2 stopper and went back to Grand Forks.
On the way back to Grand Forks, they called me and asked would I drive a test truck for a week, and see what I thought of it. So far so good, its a 2020 Volvo 760 with 16,000 miles. It defnitely pulls better than the T680s and Cascadias. Even on the long grade near Sisseton, SD, it dropped one gear and regained speed and maintained 65mph the whole grade. In my Cascadia, it may have ran about 50-55 mph with the same load
The turning radius, and the ride is better than both the KW and Freightliner, and far more space and outlets for gadgets.
I will post a pic of it shortlyBlagoje, drvrtech77, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.
