Can you help me out to figure if he installed brand new cylinder head . I took picture of the head and the number stamped on the head is 4925774 . However my invoice from this shop reads 5413782.
When I did some research , I could not find any brand new heads with 4925774 but I was able to locate 5413782 as a brand new head
After overhaul on Cummins ISX CM 870

4925774 is the part number for the casting only.
5413782 is the part number for the complete head. The part number followed by NX is new and RX is reman. Only the invoice from Cummins will show this. Did you get charged for a core?BoxCarKidd, snejana73 and pushbroom Thank this. -

no but the old cylinder head is still at this shop . I am worry now because they did not cut the counterbore . I was told by other people that this is a big problem because the head may go bad very soon. When asked the mechanic what were the measures he said 11.... but according to what I was told we should have more than one number . I read that every cylinder needs to be measured and we should have different numbers ..... We spent close to 25000 $ and this is unbelievable or what they have done to us.

To make you feel a little bit better, "11" might mean .011 (11 thousands) which if it is true is a good # for liner protrusion (counterbore)

Sounds like you knew the shop before you took your truck there . Parts up front would be the only way id do it these days
